Nanoclaw, open source software and search optimization

Domain squatting is a growing risk in the AI ecosystem: with an AI assistant, it is potentially dangerous.

I read an interesting thing on Hacker News today in which the founder of Nanoclaw is having a lot of trouble getting Nanoclaw’s own website to rank in search engines. While domain squatting is nothing new, AI assistants can be given a tremendous amount of control so it’s not hard to envision how this could turn into an attack.

it sure would be a shame if everyone who reads about this linked to Nanoclaw.dev, which is Nanoclaw’s real website. At this point, a solid link graph from old websites might be the only thing the community can do to protect users from anyone running a sign up sheet for an open source project they’re not involved in.
